About This Spot

Perched above the charming streets of San Miguel de Allende’s Zona Centro, 3 Marías - Tres Marías Rooftop Terraza y Restaurante invites you into a space where the city’s historic beauty unfolds beneath your feet. Arriving here feels like stepping into a relaxed yet lively haven, where the gentle evening light casts a warm glow over rustic wooden tables and intimate seating areas. The pace slows naturally as locals and visitors alike settle in to savor the view — a tapestry of terracotta rooftops and iconic church spires set against the ever-changing sky.

The atmosphere hums with a quiet vibrancy. Conversation floats easily over the clink of glasses filled with freshly prepared micheladas or crisp vinos rosados, companions to dishes that melt between the senses and the palate. Whether it’s the tender richness of a perfectly grilled ribeye or the delicate embrace of pasta wrapped in pesto and garlic, the flavors here are thoughtfully elevated yet welcoming, making each bite feel like a small discovery rather than a performance.

Beyond the savory, the rooftop’s energy carries moments of true warmth — servers attentive without intrusion, easily engaging as they navigate a space that balances open-air freedom with cozy corners. Soft music pulses just below the buzz of chatter, simple enough to invite relaxation but alive enough to ignite a shared smile or the spark of easy conversation. It’s the kind of place where time seems to stretch, letting you linger through a meal, watch the sunset deepen the colors of the city, and enjoy the comfort of genuine hospitality that feels personal, not rehearsed.

3 Marías is more than a meal; it’s an invitation to attune your senses to the rhythms of one of Mexico’s most beloved towns. Whether arriving for a sunset drink or a leisurely dinner, the rooftop’s quiet charm and openhearted energy gently remind you why the best moments are those shared over good food, in a beautiful place, with people who care.

Great food here. With a great atmosphere and service. We got here right at sunset on Thursday, and there was no problem getting a table. Great view of the city and the churches. I had the tenderloin, which was prepared perfectly. It was 400 grams, or close to 1 pound steak. Came with grilled onions and peppers. My wife got the pesto and garlic Ravioli which she loved. Thursday they had buy 1 get 1 free beer and their special cocktails.

Went for lunch. Food was ok. Portions are large. Ordered ceviche which was only ok. Also ordered 3 marias tacos. The ribeye meat was too well done for my taste but was otherwise quite tasty. I thought the music was a bit too loud. Service however took way too long in spite of the place being pretty empty. Ceviche took one hour to serve and tacos took another .30 minutes. Serving staff were friendly and attentive

Great place to visit. It’s a must see. The cathedrals there are amazing, and tours are recommended to see the historical places. Mexico is amazing, beautiful and real freedom. Beautiful people, safe, amazing delicious food, and plenty to do. Happy travels.

We had such a wonderful experience at this rooftop bar in San Miguel de Allende. The atmosphere was beautiful, great view and the perfect spot to enjoy the evening. Our server, Erik, was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The customer service was truly top-notch, and it made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food, drinks and outstanding service.
